There were various elements that i have learnt while completing this unit. This was the first time that i used a camcorder and any video editing software so in terms of familiarity this was tough. This was also the first time that we had to book out equipment, and because i was over the age of 18 it was easier for me to book it out as apposed to other group members needing to get perental permission.
While filming the advert i found out that there was going to be alot of shot changes in terms of getting the right camera angles and getting everything just right for a 3 - 5 second capture. Knowing that the footage would end up getting editing down even further during post production. Using the camera was simple with the touchscreen, and transfering files to the PC was just as simple. It was the video covnersion that took both time and effort and the first time we converted files over we had no audio so i had to do it all over again.
Once all the footage was converted and onto my hard drive it was time for the editing, which for me was the fun part. Getting to grips with Premier Pro was difficult but after soem practice in college and at home i gradually got the hang of it. The tricky part was making sure i saved the pack shot to a PNG file instead of a JPG otherwise i wouldnt have had the transparity.
